Bio

Chad Wesley is a multi-award-winning blues-rock artist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer emerging from Jackson, Mississippi—an artist whose career bridges deep Southern roots with a modern, genre-defining edge. With a voice steeped in soul and a guitar style that fuses blues tradition with rock intensity, Wesley has established himself as one of the region’s most respected and consistently evolving independent artists.

His career is backed by a strong record of industry recognition, including honors such as Singer/Songwriter of the Year (2020, 2018) at the Jackson Music Awards, Blues/R&B/Soul Entertainer of the Year (2018) at the Josie Music Awards, and Best Musician (2018) from the Jackson Free Press Awards. Additional accolades include Pop Artist of the Year (2014) and Best Rock Artist (2012), along with multiple nominations across both the Jackson Music Awards and Josie Music Awards—solidifying his standing as a versatile and decorated artist across multiple genres.

Wesley’s music has generated hundreds of thousands of streams across platforms, with numbers continuing to climb as his audience expands from regional to international markets.

His recorded catalog reflects a clear artistic progression. His 2018 release Bluezy, issued through Malaco Records, marked his arrival on a broader stage and firmly established his place within the blues-rock landscape. He followed with Soul Rock (2022), an independent release under Karma Record Label that expanded his sonic identity—blending blues, rock, and funk into a signature sound that continues to define his artistry today.

Equally influential behind the scenes, Wesley is the owner of Protégé Sound Lab, where he works as a producer and creative director developing artists and shaping records from the ground up. In collaboration with producer and engineer Nathan “Nayt” Maines of Eternal Beyond Recording Studio, Wesley operates under the umbrella of Metro Media Team—a full-service multimedia collective focused on artist development at the highest level. Together, they provide end-to-end solutions including music production, audio engineering, visual content creation, and strategic media development, building artists into fully realized, label-ready brands.

On stage, Wesley’s live performances remain a defining force. Backed by a dynamic band, his shows deliver a high-energy, musically rich experience that consistently resonates with audiences. His performance credits include a televised appearance on Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s Live at Natchez Sound in 2025, further expanding his reach beyond the live circuit.

His growing cultural footprint is further cemented by his inclusion in the book Jacktown, U.S.A.: The Capital City of American Music, which features a dedicated chapter chronicling his journey—from early performances in small-town Mississippi to becoming a driving force in the state’s contemporary music scene.

A voting member of The Recording Academy and a Board Advisor for its Memphis Chapter, Wesley continues to contribute to the broader music industry while advancing his career on a national and international trajectory.

At his core, Chad Wesley represents the modern independent artist: self-built, multi-dimensional, and forward-thinking. As both a performer and architect behind the scenes, he is not only creating music—he is building platforms, developing talent, and defining what it means to be an artist in today’s industry.
